A continuation of a theme of the lotus as a symbol of resilience. This piece features lotus leaves embroidered onto delicate slices of organza. The leaves appear in limbo between fractured and whole. In the same way, cultures are chipped away through each generation, yet doing so gives room for new developments as modern day becomes history and history finds itself into modern day.
